Summer Programs postponed until 2022

2021 Traditional Summer Camps will be postponed until next year.

Updated: April 20th, 2021

We long to see all of our campers, families, and staff back at camp together again!
For many months, we have been planning and considering what camp could look like this summer during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Given the health, safety, and distancing measures that would be required to operate our camps,
Frontier Lodge has decided to postpone our traditional Day Camp, Overnight Camp, and Family Camp until 2022.

Please pray with us as we seek to finalize plans in this area and make the most of a different opportunity.

Here is what we do have planned for 2021!

Big Construction Project!

Thanks to several donors, we are getting a new building at camp! Our well-loved and well-used Rec Hall will be replaced by a new building that will include a bigger gym, an art cente, tuck shop, winterized housing, boat storage, and a big deck overlooking the lake! Our new building will be a large gathering place near the waterfront!!

Family Days

We still want you to be able to come and enjoy the lake this summer! We are planning some Family Days throughout the season in which you can come enjoy the lake with your family! Info coming soon!

Discipleship Program

We plan to have a discipleship program for teens 15-17 to foster spiritual formation and leadership development. Although details are still in the works, we hope to have a one-week session, and a two-week session later in the summer. More details to come!

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

We have carefully considered the measures that would be necessary to operate our camps in 2021. We have decided to postpone our camps, as we would not be able to operate with these requirements.

Many camps have already made the decision to stay closed this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We wanted hear what measures would need to be in place, before making a final decision.

Day camps are currently required to follow the health and safety measures mandated for 2020 and we are not allowed to offer school bus transportation. We do not know if/when these rules will change.

In addition, our day camp differs from municipal day camps as our staff live on-site at camp. Given the protocols required for staff housing this year, we will be unable to staff our program.

Families who chose to defer their 2020 camper fees until this summer will be contacted about refunds very soon.

We will announce more information as soon as we can. We want as many families as possible to enjoy the Frontier facility this summer! As of now, we foresee these Family Days being held on Saturdays. Capacity will be limited, so registration will be required.

We will not be renting cabins to families this summer, but we invite families to register for our Family Days when the time comes!

Construction will begin in late April and continue through August. We will be posting updates along the way, and we’ll also post pictures of what the new building will look like soon!
