BREAKAWAY FALL RETREAT
A Retreat for High School Students & Recent Grads (12-17 years)

Breakaway Fall Retreat is an annual retreat that takes place on Lake Wallace at Frontier Lodge Christian Youth Camp. Our ambition and idea behind this retreat is all about uniting Young People to expose them to God’s Love, his creation & other people that are excited about Jesus.
The idea of the name Breakaway comes from the passage Mark 1:35 & Luke 5:16. Jesus understood the importance of getting away and spending time alone with God. Our desire is that you get away from the busyness of life, school, work & what the world deems important and join us for Christ-centred Weekend. Where we focus our attention on God & realign & relight the passion in life that Jesus desires us to live.
If you are a teen between the ages of 12 and 17 then this retreat is for you!! If you are older, we are always looking for volunteers, because it takes a lot of great people to pull off an amazing Fall Retreat!

Keynote Speaker
Daniel Meade - Hope Community Church
Daniel Meade is the lead pastor at Hope Community Church in Lennoxville. Originally from the US, Daniel is new to Quebec, though not to ministry far from home.
He and his wife have worked in ministries in Northern Ontario, Chicago, South Florida, Germany and West Africa. Daniel studied Missions and Bible at the Moody Bible Institute and Pastoral Ministry at Grace University in Omaha.
When not working, he enjoys traveling, nerdy strategy games and doing all the voices during story time with his four incredibly active sons.

Kelly Orellana - Westside Gathering
Kelly is the Youth and Young Adults pastor at Westside Gathering In Montreal. Prior to his current role, he and his wife have served in various ministries within a francophone church context in Montreal. Kelly has served in youth ministry for many years and is passionate to see teens and young adults become on fire for Jesus. Outside of ministry, he enjoys building Lego sets, coop boardgames (or competitive), and sitting with friends around a fire and having a good time.
Kelly will challenge you with the big question “If God is so loving why is there suffering in the world?” These questions will sometimes be difficult to answer when others challenge us with those questions. In this workshop you will be guided from an apologetics approach, you will learn how to navigate and dialogue with others and learn how to respond in those situations.
Cheryl Johnson - Westview Bible Church
Cheryl is the Pastor of Discipleship and Strategy at Westview Bible Church in Montreal. For 20 years before that, she served in various youth ministry roles across Canada and Japan.
She loves Jesus, laughing with people, her niece and nephews, the colour orange, plants, and flip flops. She is pursuing her master’s of Transformational Leadership so that she can passionately develop emerging leaders and empower people to discover how God has uniquely wired them to participate in His story.
Jephthé Alphonse - Westview Bible Church
Jephthé is the Next Gen Pastor at Westview Bible Church in Montreal.
In his seminar, Jephthé will discuss how to navigate stress and anxiety, our emotions, and how to trust God in all circumstances.
Transportation To Camp
Frontier Lodge provides round-trip bus transportation to and from camp from the West Island of Montreal. Upon arrival at the bus, find our staff member to check-in your child. *Please make sure your teen does not have lice, any illness, or fever before bringing them to the bus location.
$60 Round Trip
You can sign up for the bus when registering for the weekend. Once a registration is submitted, the bus can only be added through the office. Spaces are limited.

Sibling Discount
Frontier Lodge provides a $45 Sibling Discount for Breakaway to assist in making the retreat more affordable for families with more than one teen! For the discount to be applied, families must register both children at the same time. The discount will automatically be applied to the second child at checkout.
Scholarships

Rustic Cabin Accommodations
This weekend we’ll be camping out in rustic camp cabins! Everyone must bring their own bedding, pillows and towels. The cabins are not heated, so we recommend that everyone bring warm clothes for sleeping, and an extra blanket. We’ll send you the weather forecast before the weekend to help you pack!
