Pray for Campers

Pray that previous campers who made decisions to follow Christ or renew their commitment would be given the spirit of wisdom and revelation, that they might know Him better. Pray for the campers who did not decide to follow Christ, that God would continue to pursue them with His love in the hope that they would come to a saving faith.

Awareness: That we may be given the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, that we might know Him better (Eph. 1:17).  In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps (Prov. 16:9). That the Lord will show us His ways, teach us His paths, guide us in His truth, as we place our hope in our Savior (Ps. 25:4-5).  Pray that we will recognize God has guided our steps to where we are.  We are there for a reason.  We are there for a purpose.

Wisdom: But the wisdom from the Lord is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy (James 3:17). Pray that we will be given wisdom and be dispenser’s of wisdom.

Humility: Wisdom is with the humble (Prov. 11:2). Humble yourselves before the Lord and He will lift you up (James 4:10). Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves (Philippians 2:3). Pray that we will follow Christ’s example of humility.

God’s love: Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love (1 John 4:8). We are known to be Jesus’ disciples by our love for one another (John 13:35). Pray that we will dispense God’s love.

Mercy and Forgiveness: I desire mercy and not sacrifice (Hosea 6:6). Be merciful just as your Father is merciful (Luke 6:36). Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy (Matt. 5:7). And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors (Matt. 12). Mercy and forgiveness stand at the heart of fidelity to God. Being faithful to the Lord requires us to demonstrate this. Pray that we will dispense mercy and forgiveness.
