What a pleasure to be with many of you at the Fundraising Banquet in April. I’m so pleased to announce more good news. After months of work, our General Director Search Team has found and hired Mark Pope. Mark originally hails from Newfoundland and has lived in New Brunswick, Thailand, and Ontario. He even briefly interned in Quebec, during which time he came to love our Province, culture, and languages. He brings to the General Director position a mature faith in Jesus, a heart for advancing the mission, two decades of leadership experience in the non-profit sector, and a passion for camp and its lasting impact on people’s lives. Additionally, his strong interpersonal skills, operational management and strategic planning experience make him an excellent fit for the role. He is married to Kim, and they have three children, Josiah, Jordan, and Julia. We are excited for Mark to take on this role with his gentle, wise, and relational leadership and his love for the Montreal Canadians. 

Mark will start May 15th, joining Jennifer Hay Canzani, our Assistant Director for this 2023 camp season. 

Thank you to both the General Director Search Committee led by Brent Cullen and the Nelson/Kraft & Associates team, for all their excellent work. We are especially grateful to our Lord God, who provides for all our needs from His glorious riches, in Christ Jesus.
